“You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.” - Jon Kabat-Zinn
Mindfulness offers a practical way to meet life's ups and downs with steadiness and compassion. I teach courses and sessions for individuals, businesses, or groups, based on Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) — an evidence-based approach that helps to reduce stress, improve focus, and support long-term wellbeing.
Whether you're completely new to mindfulness or looking to deepen an existing practice, you're very welcome to join an existing group or to get in touch to arrange for a mindfulness session.
MBCT combines cognitive-behavioural insights with mindfulness practice. It teaches skills that help us recognise patterns of thought and emotion, respond more wisely to stress, and live with greater awareness and balance.
Developed in the late 1990s, MBCT was first taught in person to groups recovering from depression. It is now widely and successfully offered both online and face-to-face, to individuals as well as groups. A typical course runs over eight weekly sessions.
My approach builds on the original MBCT framework while allowing for individual needs and contexts. You can find more details under the Courses tab or get in touch via the contact link below.
