Courses and sessions are designed to help participants apply mindfulness to specific areas of life and wellbeing.
MBCT can be tailored to support different needs. I currently offer courses and sessions in the following areas:
MBCT for stress reduction — learning skills to respond calmly to daily pressures
MBCT for chronic pain — using mindfulness to change the relationship with pain and improve quality of life
MBCT for depression — recognising early signs of low mood and preventing relapse
MBCT for general wellbeing — maintaining balance, clarity, and resilience
The approach is based on the Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy framework taught at Bangor University’s Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice. For more information, you can visit Bangor University’s mindfulness pages.
Courses are available for individuals, businesses, or small groups, either online or in person in Sussex. In keeping with good practice guidelines, each course is usually preceded by an initial online or telephone assessment of about thirty minutes.
Feedback from an eight-week mindfulness course (run for NHS staff) was collected anonymously through Google Forms. All participants rated the course 5 out of 5 for satisfaction, importance, and likelihood to recommend. Participants described the sessions as calm, supportive, and practical.
“Paul created a safe, calm space.”
“Personable and encouraging.”
“Enjoyed the shared practices and practical focus.”
As a guide, the cost is around £60 per hour for individual online sessions. If you'd like to join a course or arrange a personal session, please get in touch for an informal chat or initial assessment.
